Crean Kitchens

I have been dealing with Crean Kitchens since November 2022. We agreed on a price and agreed initial designs on the Kitchen, Walk in Pantry, Boot Room, Utility, Media Wall in a snug, Media Wall and Bar in living room, two built in wardrobes, Walk in Wardrobe to master bedroom, Walk in Wardrobe to downstairs bedroom and at a later date added a vanity unit in master bathroom. As you can see this was a major, luxury project. We originally were planning and hoping to be in our new build in December 23, but due to issues with other trades this wasn’t able to happen. Along the journey we kept up the communication. Mr Aiden Crean went to site several times to measure up as the build progressed. They were due to commence fitting in October 2023. On the 27th September we had to inform them that we weren’t ready to commence fitting and we had a return email from them stating that they would be ready when we were and no issues were raised. By this time we had paid Crean Kitchens €37,800. While the build continued on, we kept in communication with Crean Kitchens. As the build evolved we made some changes and we met with Aiden Crean and Ceri Bowen ( via Zoom as she had relocated, but still worked for the business). At no point did Mr Crean mention in the meeting that us postponing the installation caused his business any hardship. In the meeting Mr Crean was very amiable and said nothing was an issue. Everything was bespoke and they would bend over backwards for us The Kitchen and Pantry were delivered in mid to late June and fitting commenced. It took them months to complete the works. Constant chasing by my Project Manager, my husband and I. No consistency on site. Turn up one day and wouldn’t then return for a couple of days. When I asked the fitter Shane what was the plan and when they would be returning, he stated that he didn’t know from day to day where he would be. Mr Crean constantly told me that he had never measured a job so much, but we still had issues with items not fitting in the pantry, utility and walk in wardrobe. This in turn caused more delay. In September 2024 Mr Crean walked off site and pulled all works following discussions to get the job completed. In that meeting he told me I shouldn’t have moved back from England. During the meeting I (the client) was blamed for a member of staff handing in their notice. This is the man I had paid £80,000 to at this stage and no room was completed. Eventually after two weeks the fitters came back to site and most of the works were completed. This delayed us moving in to the house and we incurred more cost staying in an Airbnb. Our daughter was starting a new school and it was all very stressful. To date the kitchen and pantry are still unfinished. My Project Manager and I have emailed and WhatsApp messaged Mr Crean many times with no response. I wouldn’t feel comfortable going in to the shop as I fear the intimidation that I would get. I would like to say that he still has my money I paid for the completed works. All money has to be paid up front. We are now coming up to a year and the work is not complete. I have drawers in my kitchen that don’t close right, peeling paint on the media wall, a tea towel pull out that is totally unusable as it is falling apart. My pantry doors are not finished. There must be a warranty on the goods, but nobody will come back to me and fix the issues. There is probably half a days work to fix the problems. Now I am going to have to spend more money and go down the legal route. If you value your mental health, do not purchase from this company. Your money is hard earned and you need to know that the company you purchase from is going to give you the best service possible. BUYER BEWARE Google makes you give a star rating.

Extremely happy and delighted with our new kitchen & utility. We met with Heather a number of times to plan our design, nothing was ever a trouble for Heather , she is a very professional and creative designer and was so helpful with great ideas to assist with our final designs. Crean kitchens have a fantastic array of units & accessories to choose from and all of high quality . Our kitchen was fitted by Paddy who worked tirelessly to get it perfect and we are thrilled with the final results. We most definitely recommend Crean Kitchens , if thinking about a new kitchen make sure to pop in to them to see for yourself as their showrooms have many fabulous designs to view and choose from. Thank you for everything, we are delighted with our kitchen & utility choices and you made it so easy for us by being so involved in the designs.

Having researched and engaging with numerous kitchen companies we were most impressed by the level of detail and effort made by Crean from the outset. As such we decided to appoint them to design and install our kitchen, utility boot room and fitted hallway furniture. Having recently completed there work we must say that we made the correct decision. Being based in the UK the process could have been problematic, but the level of communication and clarity provided by Heather was excellent and made it relatively simple and stress free. Having seen their work in friend’s and family’s homes we looked no further than Crean Kitchens when we were planning our new kitchen. From beginning to end of the process Jane and Aiden couldn’t have been more helpful. The design process was so straight forward and Jane really understood what we were looking for and brought the vision to reality. The communication was fantastic and the team were so accommodating and flexible. We’re delighted with our kitchen and fireplace. I highly recommend Creans.

My mother inquired with Crean Kitchens about doing up her existing kitchen. To say each and everyone we dealt with in the company exceeded our expectations is an understatement. They turned our 14+ year old kitchen into something outstanding. The whole process was quick and easy with no mess. I would highly recommend Crean kitchens to anyone looking to do up there existing kitchen or to get a whole new one installed.
