Dan Barrett The Handyman

I got a quote from Dan to replace a tile, €130. I thought this was crazy expensive, so I got an actual tiler to do the same job for €50.. go figure. 19/04/22 in response to your response, I feel my review is very honest. You gave me this quote a few months ago and I have been ruminating since about whether or not to leave a review. But since then I have been looking up people for various other work to be done i.e. painting, groundwork etc and your name persistently comes up when I search locally online. Therefore I feel it is only fair I share my experience. This is the quote you gave me to replace one tile. I have said this to a number of people, who have p****d themselves laughing when I told them how much you tried to charge me. I said to you myself, the quote was way out of my price range, you shrugged this off and said that's how much it costs. The point I am getting across is that I got my tile replaced by an actual tiler in the town and not a "handyman", and even he said your quote was a joke, it appears to me as though you were trying to a fast one. The tiler actually charged me €40 for the same job and I gave him €50 because he was honest. I'm sure he pays tax insurance etc as well.. and as for travelling time, we are situated within walking distance from each other..? I am sorry my review has offended you but this is fact.

Dan came to fix our shed as water was getting in, and he also put in a window and door. The job he has done is unbelievable and I would highly recommend his work. Always arrived when he said he would and the cost really reasonable. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Dan is very professional & dedicated to his work. He turns up when he says he will, he listens to your ideas, makes suggestions, gives you a quotation & then delivers something better than you expect. I would highly recommend him.

Great solution and work by Dan yesterday in building a dog (and child)-friendly fence on top of our existing boundary wall (in process of being painted). Unobtrusive, effective, all galvanised materials, quality job at a fair price. Recommended.

Dan did some outside painting and a clean up for me recently and I would highly recommend him. He is very knowledgeable, completes the job very thoroughly and efficiently. He has a great eye for detail and a very nice man as well. Thank you Dan.
