We’d been living in our house over 20 years and never changed the kitchen which we had come to hate! It was an awkward shape but we didn’t want to knock through into the adjoining dining room. I knew I needed professional help to design something that would work well rather than just going to a kitchen company and google searches led me to InSpace. While I thought I might not be brave enough for some of the designs in my own house I loved the look of the work so I got in touch. What a great decision that turned out to be. Emily figured out our likes and dislikes and came up with a reconfiguration of the existing space that works so well, the kitchen feels bigger and the design and materials used are beautiful. The lighting in particular is fabulous with some wonderful natural materials used and affordable Irish designers also championed. Emily commissioned a beautiful hand made ash table and bench and all the details from light switches to radiators were meticulously sourced so that everything looks great together. We have a kitchen that we now love spending time in. It’s unique to us and though the rest of our house isn’t as lovely as our kitchen it all works together, it isn’t jarring with the rest of our home. Emily doesn’t compromise on her own excellent judgment or taste but nor does she force things on you, I actually don’t know how she does it! She is an absolute pleasure to work with and made the whole process so much easier than it might have otherwise been. Since completing our kitchen we commissioned some other furniture to Emily’s designs and she also helped us source furniture for a house in London that we needed to do at short notice. Her knowledge of suppliers who could turn things around quickly was invaluable and she furnished the house on budget and with her impeccable taste as ever in evidence. If you’re thinking of any home project I wouldn't hesitate to go with InSpace, I certainly give them my highest recommendation.

Working with Emily Cunnane, owner of InSpace Design, was one of the best decisions I made after buying our home. There are endless decisions to make, and without a clear plan, it would be easy to veer off track. Having her design as our guide kept us focused and made decision-making easy, ensuring everything came together seamlessly. Emily is also an encyclopaedia of sources for furnishings, materials, and decor—most of which I had never come across before, making the process incredibly exciting. She introduced me to suppliers and items that truly elevated the house, ensuring that every element was special, distinctive, and tailored to us. Emily was brilliant at helping us prioritize, make smart decisions, and get the most out of our investment, without ever compromising on design or quality. Throughout the process, Emily was an incredible guide, making complex decisions feel effortless and ensuring the interiors complemented the architectural design seamlessly. She was always available, proactive, and solutions-driven, handling challenges with calm confidence. Emily has an exceptional ability to create spaces that feel cohesive, inviting, and deeply personal. Her meticulous attention to detail ensured everything worked in perfect harmony. But what truly sets her apart is her ability to blend beauty with practicality, designing a home that is not only visually stunning but also incredibly functional for daily life. Beyond her immense talent, Emily is one of the kindest, most respectful, and genuinely lovely people I have had the pleasure of working with. She approached our project with passion and dedication, treating our home as if it were her own. Now, living in this home, I see Emily’s magic in every detail. I highly recommend Emily. We used her services twice in the past few years: one for an extensive room design and a second time to help craft a bespoke feature for another room in our house. Emily was highly engaged throughout and genuinely a pleasure to work with. We loved what she did for us: it was fun, ballsy, a bit different and fully met our brief (and our budget). Emily obviously has great listening skills when trying to understand what her client wants, but she also brings so much of her own thoughts, cultural and travel influences, and knows when to gently stand her ground. So we loved the outcome and the beautiful room she designed for us, but we also loved the process. We also appreciated her knowledge and use of suppliers and craftsmen, including great local Irish ones. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Emily again, and wish I had many more projects to work on with her.

Emily at InSpace Design exceeded my expectations in every way. From the start of the process until completion, she was professional and easy to communicate with. She understood my style and needs, and although worked with me collaboratively, pushed the limits with her creative vision and attention to detail to make an opulent, original and completely amazing living room and kitchen come to life. Both rooms look so different, but flow together effortlessly. She arranged for unique customised pieces to be built from local tradesmen, used bold colours and textures, maximised light and space, and taught me a few things about design along the way. Cannot recommend enough.

‘Working with Emily and her team of tradespeople was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. As I live away from my home, I was particularly concerned that the renovations would be realised on schedule and as I had envisioned. But as project manager Emily was thorough and efficient in her management and co-ordination of every detail from start to finish. I was confused about how to create better flow and use of space in the bathroom but Emily came up with an excellent new layout. This small bathroom now feels bigger and more comfortable to use. I had very specific design ideas and love vibrant interiors and colours, but was apprehensive about how they might work. Emily was immediately in tune with my style. She pulled everything together and crowned it with her final touches which were very much the icing on the cake! Without her critical input the outcome would have lacked the final magic.
