I got a barbecue that was on sale at a great price recently. I was late getting there to pick it up but the staff were great and held it over for me...Highly recommended!

I purchased Dulux paint from your store, which was only opened for use three months ago. When we opened it this morning, the paint had completely separated and turned watery. When we brought it back to the store, the staff did replace the paint for us, but most of the interaction was extremely disappointing. Two of the staff members were rude and condescending, speaking down to us and dismissing our concerns. We were told that “paint goes off,” but I know that paint does not expire after only three months. When we asked for an explanation as to why this might have happened, we were told to “Google it.” One staff member, Matthew (working on the paint till), was very pleasant and kind to us. He reassured us that he would try to help and was the only person who handled the situation professionally. Unfortunately, his two colleagues did not treat us with the same respect. After questioning the issue further, we were again told that paint goes off. When I pointed out that it should not deteriorate within six months, the manager was called over. He was quite hostile and dismissive. We requested a credit note instead of a replacement, as we were told that if we didn’t use the new paint within 4–6 weeks, the same thing might happen again. We explained that we have other tins of paint purchased from the same store around the same time, and those are perfectly fine. Despite this, the staff were unwilling to listen or consider our concerns. We were also told that without a receipt, a credit note could not be issued. We provided the approximate date of purchase and asked if the transaction could be looked up on the system. The manager refused, even though another staff member had done this for us previously with a different purchase. After checking the Dulux website, I found that unopened paint can last up to 10 years, and opened paint up to 5 years—so the explanation given to us in store does not seem accurate. This is also the second time this issue has happened with these same two colours of paint. Overall, the customer service we received was very disappointing, and the way we were spoken to was unacceptable.

Generally a go-to store for DIY needs. I visit the garden section just about every day. Just a little bit of feedback on that....I've noticed a number of times that a number of the plants are being left mixed in with other plants while covered in pests. The peach rose tree was covered in aphids, other plants have been, today 26/06/25 I was looking at the libertia formosa in amongst the other plants and it had early stage mealy bug infestation. Your nursery suppliers should be quarantining infested plants before distribution. Once they get to the business it would be better to keep them away from other plants and treat them before putting them out for sale. You have sufficient stocks on hand to treat pests and diseases to prevent them potentially being transmitted to customer gardens
