Printing & Nettl Athlone

I went in to print images and booklets and firstly they told me I could send with WhatsApp or email, I asked won’t WhatsApp reduce the quality and they told me no. After printing the images were so blurry and the man there said I sent them screenshots which I did not. I showed him the difference and his response was well you’ve already paid. I didn’t care much about that so I paid for them to reprint and ordered booklets which I mentioned I was in a hurry to get. They told me they would be down the next Tuesday. On Tuesday when I called they told me Thursday. On Thursday when I called again they told me Friday. I get that delays happen but they could have communicated better.

I went to this shop only to get my documents scanned and emailed to me. I specifically said I didn’t need printouts, but the managing director who handled the job insisted that he had to print them first before scanning. I was charged €8 for just three colour printouts - two for my passport (two pages side by side per print) and one for my IRP card (front and back). I don’t understand why printing was necessary, since most machines can scan and email documents directly. Even if it was required, the price felt unreasonably high and unfair for such a small job. As someone new to the country, I didn’t question it at the time, but later realised how expensive it was. I feel he took advantage of the situation, knowing I wouldn’t argue. Based on this and a prior experience, I will definitely not visit this shop again and would not recommend it to anyone - especially those who are new to Ireland, unfamiliar with local prices, or less likely to question costs

Keith & Kristina and the team in Athlone did an amazing job printing 900 bookmarks for us in a rush order. Delivered them on time to our Native Honey Bee Society annual conference and which were a huge hit with everyone. Highly recommend them and we will use them in the future.
