Proud Paints - Paint Store

I've bought Proud paint a few times and on each occasion, the owner David and his daughter have been very helpful in helping me make the right choice. I've been very impressed by the quality of the paint and the wide choice of colours. Highly recommend this paint brand which is very reasonably priced too.

We were going to paint our house ourselves so I found a 30 year paint on Proud Paints website. As we were a bit nervous of messing upfront, I rang them. From the moment I rang for advice from them, I was given so much time and attention from Derek. He advised us about the appropriate prep we should do and whether this paint would suit given that we live near the sea in Wexford. We had to sterilise and seal the house and then do two coats of paint. We used 30 Year Masonry in Brilliant White. It took us longer than we anticipated as we followed his advice carefully. Any questions we had were answered immediately and with a lovely attitude! I would definitely recommend Proud Paints, so fingers crossed we outlive this paint job!!!

I am very happy with the paint from Proud Paint. I've bought before anti mould paint and solution before painting and it does what it says. No more mould in the bathroom. Many paints have on the label that are anti mould, but never found one to work like Proud Paint. I've already recommended to another friend. Definitely I will buy again. I have dealt with Derek and Proud Paints on numerous occasions and can only say good things about them They have been very helpful knowledgeable and accommodating. Delivery is top class in large or small quantities. I have found their products fantastic. I have used a good selection of these products and the saying you get what you pay for rings true. I have extensively used their high build product and after half a dozen completed large jobs can safely say its up there with the best of them. With the proper prep and application the finish achievable is durable gives fantastic cover and looks amazing. It's great on new finishes but on older finishes or on jobs where imperfections hairline cracks and mixed finishes are a problem and a high build finish is accepted it comes into its own. Even larger cracks properly filled are easily blended in. Just remember find cause and solution to cracks etc making sure it's not structural as this is a highly flexible product and cracks etc could take drastic movement to show through again. When it comes to durability it really is tough. I have used it in exposed areas and where fading peeling paint has been a problem and it's as good as the day it was applied. In a nutshell do your homework find your desired finish by method of application and you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be using again.
