Great staff and always have everything in stock. Best hardware store in Galway...
Spent two hours driving around Galway searching for a specific Hoppe brand handle for a uPVC front door — with no luck... until I went to McDonoghs. To my surprise, a helpful gentleman there quickly found the exact handle I needed, saving me from having to drill the door or make modifications. They were the only place in Galway (that I could find) not closed for annual leave and actually stocking these handles. Thanks again for the great service — really saved me time and hassle!

I bought fire tongs there as gifts for people down through the years. I finally bought my own tongs recently from there. I was looking for a log holder beside the fire place and I found a beautiful wicker basket there. A very helpful member of staff assisted me. A hidden gem of a shop.
Best hardware in the area. Develop from family business and you're giving a very personal service. You would not get better anywhere. Prices are are excellent. Large variety of products. From builders, gardening and household items.
