Johnstone's Decorating Centre

The lads always go out of their way to help, if you have any kind of decorating issue they'll have a solution. Top class products too, been using Johnstones since the 80's and still the best out there bar none. Have to say though the closure of the Portlaoise shop a few years back was a shame as its a lot closer to me workwise.

Now that I have a bit of time on my hands (currently my business is in lockdown again) I must say that Mark, Jason and James in Johnstone’s couldn’t have done more for me over the past few months. Firstly, their professional help and knowledge was top class while I painted my house over the summer. Secondly, my business was under fierce pressure to find plastic sheeting to comply with government guidelines and Johnstone’s had exactly what I needed to make my own. During the busy weeks of reopening my barber shop, Mark actually came out of his way to deliver - to my door, a box of plastic coverings badly needed to protect my customers from Covid 19. Thanks very much Mark and staff and I’ll see you all soon when we reopen on the 1st of December for the Christmas haircut frenzy.

Manager extremely rude. Let other helpful staff members down. Dont usually write reviews as everyone can have a bad day but my husband experienced it twice and myself once.

Brilliant.cant recommend any higher.really supportive and good advice givers. 3 x guys are solid

Helpful staff, well laid out, great selection. Prices are a little higher than most hardware stores, but good quality products.
